Many of the songs from this release are from the Mark Taper Forum production of the play "Sansei". The critically acclaimed play ran for eight weeks and featured "Living in America", "Daydreamer", and " Thousand Cranes". "Thousand Cranes" is a musical tribute to Sadako and the city of Hiroshima.
